Owner-run since 2011
Most Tampa roofers send a salesperson on commission to quote your job, then hand the work to whichever subcontractor is free. You meet one person, work with a different crew, and the final bill carries charges that were never explained.
Marcus Delgado does every inspection, quotes every job in writing with every item listed, and uses the company's own trained crews. No subcontractors.
Roof replacement means tearing off the existing roof down to the wood deck, replacing any rotted or damaged wood, and installing a new shingle, tile or metal roof built to Florida code. This is not a repair or overlay. The old roof comes off completely so the new one sits on sound structure and lasts as long as the manufacturer rates it.
Homeowners across Tampa and Hillsborough County need a replacement when the roof has reached the end of its rated life, when a storm has damaged a large portion of the surface, or when leaks have spread beyond what a repair can fix. If your insurer is requiring a new roof to renew your policy, this is the service that satisfies that requirement. Replacement is also chosen when switching from one material to another, such as moving from asphalt shingle to metal or tile.
What we do
From leak detection to full replacement, every job is owner-inspected and crew-installed by Bayline Roofing.
We tear off the old roof down to the deck, replace any rotted wood, and install a new shingle, tile or metal roof built to Florida code.
We find the actual source of the leak, fix it, and show you photos of what we found and what we did.
We inspect after a storm, document the damage for your insurer, meet the adjuster on site, and do the repair or replacement the claim covers.
We install standing seam and exposed-fastener metal roofs that hold up to Florida wind, heat and salt air for 40 years or more.
We install and repair modified bitumen and TPO roofs on porches, additions, carports and flat-roof homes.
We inspect your roof, complete the four-point and wind mitigation reports insurers ask for, and offer a yearly maintenance visit.
You see large areas of missing, cracked or curling shingles, especially after a storm. The roof is older than the rated life of the material, usually 20 to 25 years for asphalt shingle in Florida. You have had multiple leaks in different parts of the house, and repairs have not stopped new ones from appearing. Your insurance company has sent a notice that your policy will not renew unless the roof is replaced.
You notice daylight coming through the roof boards when you are in the attic. The roof deck feels soft or spongy when you walk on it, or you see sagging sections from the ground. Granules from asphalt shingles are filling your gutters or washing down the driveway after rain. The flashing around chimneys, vents and skylights is rusted, cracked or pulling away from the surface. You are preparing to sell the house and the inspection report lists the roof as a problem that will cost you the sale or reduce the offer.
Emergency tarping 24/7
When a storm opens your roof, water damage spreads fast. We answer emergency calls 7 days a week and get a tarp on the same day, usually within hours.
Call for Emergency TarpingWhy Bayline Roofing
You get a straight answer from the person responsible for the job, not a salesperson.
The people on your roof are trained by us and answer to us, so the work matches what you were promised. We do not hand jobs to whichever subcontractor is free that week.
You see the price for every part of the job, including wood replacement per sheet. The quote holds for 30 days and the final bill matches it to the dollar.
We pull the permit, pay for it as part of the job, schedule the city or county inspections, and hand you the paperwork your insurer needs. You do not chase any of it.
When a storm opens your roof, we get it covered the same day so damage inside stops spreading. We answer emergency calls 7 days a week, usually within hours.
Your yard, driveway and pool area are cleared of nails and debris at the end of every day. We cover landscaping and use a dumpster for all old material.
Roof replacement includes tearing off all existing roofing material down to the wood deck, removing it from the property in a dumpster or dump trailer, and running a magnetic sweep for nails every evening. We replace any rotted or damaged wood decking, which is priced per sheet in the written quote. We install new underlayment, drip edge, starter strip, the roofing material you chose, ridge cap, and all flashing around chimneys, vents, skylights and walls. We pull the permit, pay for it as part of the job, schedule the county inspections, and pass the final so your warranty is registered. The price includes labor, materials, dump fees, permit fees and cleanup.
Roof replacement does not include repairs to fascia, soffit or gutters unless those items are listed separately in the quote. It does not include painting, insulation work, or any interior drywall repair caused by old leaks. If you want gutters replaced or a different fascia installed, ask during the inspection and it will be added as a line item. The job does not include tree trimming, and we ask that branches within six feet of the roof be cut back before we start. If your home has solar panels, removal and reinstallation is a separate line item and requires coordination with your solar contractor.
How it works
Marcus visits within 48 hours, goes up on the roof, takes photos of every problem, and sends a written, itemised quote the same day.
Once you sign, we pull the permit, order materials and give you a start date, usually within two weeks.
Most homes are done in one to three days. We clean up every evening, pass the final inspection, and hand you the warranty and inspection reports.
The inspection, quoting and scheduling process is described on the home page. Once the permit is approved and materials are delivered, the crew arrives the morning of your start date, usually between 7:00 and 7:30. They cover landscaping, pool areas and anything under the roof edge with tarps, then set up the dumpster or dump trailer close to the house.
The crew tears off the old roof down to the wood deck and loads all old material into the dumpster the same day. Marcus or the crew chief inspects the exposed deck, marks any wood that needs replacing, and calls you if the amount is more than the quote estimated. New wood goes on before the end of the day, and a tarp covers the roof if the job will run into a second day. On the second day, underlayment, drip edge and the new roofing material go on. Flashing is installed around all penetrations. The crew runs a magnetic sweep for nails at the end of each day and hauls away all debris.
Once the roof is complete, the county inspector visits for the final inspection. We schedule that, meet the inspector on site, and make any adjustments the inspector requires. When the final inspection passes, we hand you the signed permit card, the inspection report, and the warranty registration. Most homes are done in one to three days on the roof.
What customers say
4.8-Star Rated onGoogle
“Marcus came out the morning after the storm, tarped the hole before lunch, and handled everything with our insurance company. The new roof went on in two days and the yard was cleaner than before they arrived.”
“We got three quotes. Bayline's was not the cheapest, but it was the only one that listed every item. The final bill matched the quote to the dollar.”
“They found a leak two other companies missed. It was flashing around the chimney, not the shingles. Fixed in an afternoon and they sent photos of the before and after.”
Bayline Roofing has completed 1,840 roofs across Hillsborough County since Marcus Delgado started the company in 2011. The company holds Florida certification CCC1331842, is bonded and insured, and maintains an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.
