Owner-run since 2011
Most Tampa roofers send a salesperson on commission to quote your job, then hand the work to whichever subcontractor is free. You meet one person, work with a different crew, and the final bill carries charges that were never explained.
Marcus Delgado does every inspection, quotes every job in writing with every item listed, and uses the company's own trained crews. No subcontractors.
Metal roofing is a full roof replacement using standing seam or exposed-fastener metal panels designed to withstand Florida wind, heat and salt air for forty years or more. The system includes removal of the old roof down to the wood deck, replacement of any damaged decking, installation of underlayment and the metal panels, and all flashing and trim work required to meet Florida building code. Homeowners and business owners choose metal roofing when they want a roof that outlasts shingle or tile, requires less maintenance over its life, and holds up to hurricane-force wind without losing panels. Metal roofs also reflect heat, which can lower cooling costs in Tampa's summer climate. This is a permanent roofing solution for residential and light commercial properties throughout Hillsborough County.
What we do
From leak detection to full replacement, every job is owner-inspected and crew-installed by Bayline Roofing.
We install standing seam and exposed-fastener metal roofs that hold up to Florida wind, heat and salt air for 40 years or more.
We tear off the old roof down to the deck, replace any rotted wood, and install a new shingle, tile or metal roof built to Florida code.
We find the actual source of the leak, fix it, and show you photos of what we found and what we did.
We inspect after a storm, document the damage for your insurer, meet the adjuster on site, and do the repair or replacement the claim covers.
We install and repair modified bitumen and TPO roofs on porches, additions, carports and flat-roof homes.
We inspect your roof, complete the four-point and wind mitigation reports insurers ask for, and offer a yearly maintenance visit.
You are replacing an old shingle or tile roof that has reached the end of its rated life and you want the next roof to be the last one you install. You have replaced your roof twice in the past twenty years and you are tired of the cycle. Your homeowners insurance premium has increased because of your roof age and you need a material that will lower your wind mitigation costs. You live near the coast or in an area with salt air and you have watched shingle roofs deteriorate faster than expected. Your current roof requires frequent repairs and you want a system that needs less ongoing maintenance. You are building an addition, a carport, or a porch and you want a roof that matches the durability of a metal system you already have on another structure. You have researched roofing materials and decided that the higher upfront cost of metal is worth the longer lifespan and lower lifetime cost.
Emergency tarping 24/7
When a storm opens your roof, water damage spreads fast. We answer emergency calls 7 days a week and get a tarp on the same day, usually within hours.
Call for Emergency TarpingWhy Bayline Roofing
You get a straight answer from the person responsible for the job, not a salesperson.
The people on your roof are trained by us and answer to us, so the work matches what you were promised. We do not hand jobs to whichever subcontractor is free that week.
You see the price for every part of the job, including wood replacement per sheet. The quote holds for 30 days and the final bill matches it to the dollar.
We pull the permit, pay for it as part of the job, schedule the city or county inspections, and hand you the paperwork your insurer needs. You do not chase any of it.
When a storm opens your roof, we get it covered the same day so damage inside stops spreading. We answer emergency calls 7 days a week, usually within hours.
Your yard, driveway and pool area are cleared of nails and debris at the end of every day. We cover landscaping and use a dumpster for all old material.
The metal roofing service includes complete removal of your existing roof down to the wood deck, inspection and replacement of any rotted or damaged decking, installation of underlayment appropriate for metal roofing systems, installation of standing seam or exposed-fastener metal panels in the profile and color you select, all ridge caps, eave trim, rake trim, and valley flashing, and sealing and fastening to meet Florida wind code requirements. The job includes all permits, all inspections, cleanup with a magnetic nail sweep every evening, and a dumpster or dump trailer for removal of old materials. The price includes our ten-year workmanship warranty and registration of the manufacturer's warranty in your name. The service does not include structural changes to increase roof pitch, installation of gutters unless specified in the written quote, painting or coating of metal panels after installation, or any work on the interior of the building. It does not include repair of damage to landscaping caused by access requirements, though we cover plants and pools during the work.
How it works
Marcus visits within 48 hours, goes up on the roof, takes photos of every problem, and sends a written, itemised quote the same day.
Once you sign, we pull the permit, order materials and give you a start date, usually within two weeks.
Most homes are done in one to three days. We clean up every evening, pass the final inspection, and hand you the warranty and inspection reports.
The process from inspection to final county approval is detailed on the home page. For metal roofing specifically, Marcus inspects the existing roof, measures the structure, and discusses whether you want standing seam or exposed-fastener panels and what color and finish you prefer. Once you sign the contract, we pull the permit and order the metal panels, which typically arrive within one to two weeks depending on the profile and color. On the first day, the crew removes the old roof down to the wood deck and inspects every sheet of decking for rot or damage. Any bad wood is replaced that same day. Underlayment goes down next, followed by the metal panels starting at the eave and working toward the ridge. Standing seam roofs require specialized equipment to crimp the seams, which our crews bring to the site. Exposed-fastener roofs go down faster but require more fasteners, each one sealed. Ridge caps, valleys and all trim are installed last. Most metal roofs take two to four days depending on size and complexity. The county inspector visits after completion, and we hand you the signed-off permit, warranty documents, and photos of the finished roof.
What customers say
4.8-Star Rated onGoogle
“Marcus came out the morning after the storm, tarped the hole before lunch, and handled everything with our insurance company. The new roof went on in two days and the yard was cleaner than before they arrived.”
“We got three quotes. Bayline's was not the cheapest, but it was the only one that listed every item. The final bill matched the quote to the dollar.”
“They found a leak two other companies missed. It was flashing around the chimney, not the shingles. Fixed in an afternoon and they sent photos of the before and after.”

Where we work
We work throughout Tampa and surrounding areas, usually within a 30-minute drive of our Cypress Street office.
Check My AddressHow much does a metal roof cost compared to shingle? Metal roofing costs more than shingle or tile at installation, but the exact price depends on whether you choose standing seam or exposed-fastener panels, the size and pitch of your roof, and how much wood decking needs replacement. Every quote is written and itemised after Marcus inspects the roof.
Will a metal roof make my house hotter or louder? Metal roofs reflect heat, which usually lowers cooling costs. Underlayment and attic insulation prevent noise from rain, so a properly installed metal roof is not louder inside than shingle or tile.
Can you install metal roofing over my existing shingle roof? Florida code allows it in some cases, but we recommend full removal so we can inspect and replace any damaged wood decking. The quote will list both options if your roof qualifies.
Do metal roofs rust in Florida's humidity and salt air? The metal panels we install have factory-applied coatings designed for coastal climates. Rust is not an issue if the coating remains intact and fasteners are sealed properly during installation.
Common questions
Most shingle roofs on a typical Tampa home run $12,000 to $22,000. Tile and metal cost more. The exact price depends on size, pitch and how much wood needs replacing, which is why every quote is written and itemised after an inspection.
Most replacements take one to three days on the roof. From signed contract to start date is usually two to three weeks, depending on permit approval and material delivery.
Yes. Florida requires a permit for roof replacement and most repairs over a small area. We pull it, pay for it as part of the job, and schedule the inspections.
We cover landscaping and the pool with tarps, use a dumpster or dump trailer for all old material, and run a magnetic sweep for nails every evening.
Our 10-year workmanship warranty covers any leak caused by our installation. The manufacturer's warranty covers the materials for up to 50 years. Both are registered in your name and transfer to the next owner if you sell.
A 10 percent deposit when materials are ordered and the balance when the final inspection passes. We take check, card and bank transfer, and offer financing through Hearth. If insurance is paying, you pay your deductible.
